What is an Animatic Storyboard

An Animatic Storyboard is a storyboard that is edited and timed to an audio (the track), it is edited to give an impression of what the finished film will look like. It shows the pacing and how you want to edit the film. It gives a much more accurate representation of the final video.

Nowadays, in the industry animatic storyboards are highly realistic and are designed on computers so that they are more accurate and of higher quality, this is because it is the only way to pre-visualise the video before filming; therefore a lot of money and time is invested in creating animatic story-boards.
