Casting the Back-up Dancers

In the inital casting process, we decided we should find the back-up dancers who will dance alongised our lead singer in the music video. We thought of the schools dance company, because the dancers in the company would be more trained in dancing. 

We sent an email to the head of the dance company  and the dancers to explain what we wanted for the audition. We worked out a location and time so that we could auditon the dancers and see if they had the necessary characteristics for our music video. We want confident, sassy girls that are able to dance comercial jazz.

From the 7 girls we emailed we hoped to cast 2 dancers, because we want the dancing to be refined and sleek. Past music videos and advice from teachers have said that the more dancers the more messy the choreogrpahy may look.
